Ravi…. Ravi……
It was my mother who was trying to wake me up early in the morning. It has become a part of her days schedule…. Thanks to the growing madness in the garden city…..I will be very tired by the time I reach home…..I got up and saw a pile of CDs on the table in my room. Even my dear mother saw it and surprisingly she didn’t say anything. She doesn’t like me spending much on music. It’s a waste of money…. Well that’s what she feels…. I thought my day have got a start with a new twist…..
By 8am I got ready and started walking toward my office bus pickup point…… I started listening to the new song by India’s best music composer….. I bought that just a day back for just Rs 50. It was an amazing collection and felt Rs 50 is very less for it. Any how nowadays everything has become very cheap. Near one of the traffic signal that I encounter every day, a guy used to sell all the pirated CD/DVDs at very cheap price. Surprisingly, he was selling some mobile accessories. Thanks to the music companies, they had reduced the price because of which piracy was out of the dictionary for everyone……
Reached the office and started checking mails. That there was nothing much to do as it was end of autumn season in UK and there were no order which were pending from our side. So it was a pretty relaxed day….. Almost everyone was talking about the new album or the new English movie which was talk of the town. Everybody wanted a copy of the album and surprisingly everybody was willing to ‘buy’ it. They used to borrow from one of the bakras (well that’s the word with which we address a guy who buys original CD/DVD) and dump it into the system or download it from some website. Today, the scene was an absolute bouncer for me…… I just could not believe that my colleagues wanted to buy an ‘original’ product. They said why to take a pirated one, when the original costs less…. True….. Very true….. Why does any one need a pirated stuff?
It was a Friday, so my friend had bought his 2wheeler. Both of us left the office pretty early. The traffic was not bad, we started discussing over cricket. Suddenly it started raining and we stopped near a bus stop………..Suddenly I could hear somebody calling me with my nick name……….Ravi….Ravi…..
It was my dear mom, and she had to use her plan B where she started to sprinkle water on my face to wake me up…….She saw the CDs on the table and said “You don’t have better things to do…. You waste all your money on these CDs”
I started laughing at my dream and felt that it would be very nice if this was true....
Cheers
